Introduction

This Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs the cancellation of appointments, services, or transactions made through Credence Cars Services Private Limited (“Credence Cars”, “Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) via our website https://www.credencecars.com/, its mobile applications, subdomains, or Google assistant bot (collectively, “Website”). By using our Website or services, including but not limited to vehicle inspections, valuations, sales, purchases, or FASTag services, you (“You”, “Your”, or “User”) agree to be bound by this Policy.

This Policy is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and does not require any digital or electronic signature. It forms a binding agreement between You and Credence Cars. If You do not agree with this Policy, You must not proceed with any bookings or transactions on the Website.

Scope of Cancellation

This Policy applies to cancellations related to:

  • Appointments for vehicle inspections (home or self-inspections);
  • Vehicle sale or purchase transactions initiated through the Website;
  • FASTag services, including purchase or recharge;
  • Other services offered by Credence Cars, such as test drive facilitation or delivery assurance;
  • Bookings or transactions involving third-party dealers or franchise partners.

Cancellations involving third-party services are subject to the respective third party’s cancellation policies, and Credence Cars is not liable for such cancellations.

Cancellation Process

To cancel an appointment, service, or transaction, You must notify Credence Cars through one of the following methods:

  • Via the mobile application by accessing Your profile and selecting the cancellation option;
  • By emailing support@credencecars.com with the subject line “Cancellation Request” and providing Your registered email, phone number, and details of the appointment or transaction;

Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment or service time to be eligible for a refund, where applicable. Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of any token amount or fees paid.

Upon receiving a cancellation request, Credence Cars will verify the request using Your registered details and confirm the cancellation via email or SMS within 48 hours.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds for cancellations are subject to the following conditions:

  • Appointments: Cancellation of inspection or test drive appointments within 24 hours of booking or at least 24 hours before the scheduled time is eligible for a full refund of any token amount paid, if applicable.
  • Vehicle Transactions: If a vehicle sale or purchase agreement is canceled before the final sale agreement is signed, any token amount paid is refundable, subject to a processing fee of ₹5,000 or 5% of the token amount, whichever is lower.
  • FASTag Services: Refunds for FASTag purchases are not available once the tag is issued. Recharge amounts are non-refundable but can be used until the FASTag balance is exhausted.
  • Other Services: Refunds for services like delivery assurance or test drive facilitation depend on the service terms agreed upon at booking. Non-refunded platform charges may apply.

Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method (bank transfer, UPI, or card). Cash payments are non-refundable, as per Section 269ST of the Income Tax Act, restricting cash transactions above ₹2 lakh.

Credence Cars reserves the right to reject refund requests for cancellations made after the specified timelines or for non-compliance with this Policy.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

No refunds will be issued in the following cases:

  • Cancellationa after the vehicle is in the procurement period (₹10,000 as a penalty).

Third-Party Cancellations

For transactions or services involving third-party dealers, franchise partners, or FASTag issuers, cancellations and refunds are governed by the respective third party’s policies. Credence Cars facilitates communication but is not liable for third-party cancellation outcomes. Contact the relevant third party directly for their cancellation terms.

Legal Compliance

All cancellations and refunds must comply with applicable Indian laws, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Income Tax Act. Users are responsible for providing accurate details (e.g., PAN card for transactions above ₹2 lakh) to ensure compliance. Non-compliance may result in cancellation without refund and potential legal action.

Disputes arising from cancellations will be resolved through arbitration in Haryana and/or Delhi, as per the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator appointed by Credence Cars. The arbitration language will be English, and the decision will be final and binding.

Include Your registered email, phone number, and details of the appointment or transaction.

Credence Cars will respond to all reasonable inquiries within 30 days of receipt.

Modifications

Credence Cars reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website. Continued use of the Website or services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. You are advised to review this Policy periodically.
